Dr. Jerry Pennington

Dr. Jerry Pennington comes to the East District after serving eleven years at FUMC Pearland. He was ordained Elder in 1982 and has served several of our east Texas churches such as Centerville 1st, Nacogdoches 1st and Carthage 1st. He has been married to Joey (a librarian at Clear Lake High School) for 18 years. Their children, Julie and Shane, are grown and doing great things. Shane is a top law student at U.T. and Julie is a project manager for a non-profit organization in Austin. Jerry received his undergraduate degree in Engineering Psychology from Texas A&M. He split his seminary experience between Perkins and Candler (Emory University) and received his doctorate from Drew.
