hat is a Certified Lay Minister (CLM)?

A Certified Lay Minister is a qualified United Methodist layperson called to congregational leadership as part of a ministry team under the supervision a clergyperson. What is a Certified Lay Servant (CLS)?

Lay Servants are to serve the local church or charge in any way in which their witness or leadership and service inspires the laity to deeper commitment to Christ and more effective discipleship. This includes the interpretation of scriptures, doctrine, organization, and ministries of the church.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR CLASSES:

CLM Group Consultation Meetings with CLM Consultant Rev. Dan Hoke and and Dir. Lay Ministries, Anna Rohde 

These meetings include a program covering educational ministry material, fellowship and question and answer period. All are welcome to attend. They are held on Saturdays from 10 am to 12 noon.

CLM Group Consultation Meeting Dates are: February 16 at 10 am at Summit UMC in Marshall, Texas and March 30 at 10 am at Deerpark UMC

CLM Module Trainings will begin again in the Fall. Dates and times will be posted soon.

Certified Lay Minister Quarterly Group Consultation Meeting

When: Two Saturdays, September 7 & 14, 2019 beginning at 8:30 am - 4:00 pm                            (Must attend both sessions to receive certificate)
